Black Clover Film Delayed but Not Defeated: Film Gets New Premiere Date (June 16th)
The official website for the “Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King” movie announced on Friday that the movie’s release has been postponed from March 31 to June 16 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has affected the production of the movie and caught fans off guard.
In addition, Netflix has also confirmed that the movie will be released on its service on June 16. The manga creator, Yuki Tabata, is serving as the chief supervisor and character designer for the movie, while the anime’s staff members will also return for the movie.

The Anime
The anime adaptation of the manga premiered in Japan in October 2017. The program was originally listed for 51 episodes, but continued into a new season with episode 52 in October 2018 and again in a new season in October 2019. The anime went on hiatus in April 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and resumed in July 2020 with episode 133. The program aired its 170th and final episode in March 2021.
Finally, author Yuki Tabata launched “Black Clover” in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in February 2015.
